The line graph provided illustrates the revenue from the tickets and how much people spent on them in Australia from 1985 to 2015. From an overall perspective, it was apparent that the sales of the tickets and the number spent on them increased gradually during the 30-year hiatus.
Looking at the picture in more detail, we can observe that the sales of tickets stood at 400 million dollars in 1985, and then soared to 600 million after 5 years in 1990. Secondly, the sales plummeted slightly from 600 to 500 in 1995, however, the sales figures underwent dramatic growth, bouncing back from 500 million to nearly 850 million dollars in 2005, which was two-times more from the beginning. What's more, after experiencing an extreme increment in sales, the number levelled off at around 850 to 910 million dollars in the next decades.
In contrast, people spending on tickets hasn't decreased in the past 30 years. Firstly, the price of the ticket was around 40 dollars, and then started to increase gradually in a decade from 1985 to 1995. Moreover, between 1995 and 2000, the price rose rapidly, faster than before, from almost 43 dollars to 60 dollars, yet it ended up stagnating in the next five years, from 2000 to 2005. Last but not least, a decade later, the price rocketed from approximately 60 dollars in 2005 to 100 dollars in 2015.
