  It is certainly the case that accidents due to transportation usually happen every day, and people often argue about whether drivers should take the driving test annually in order to improve road transport safety. In the following essay, I will explain why I disagree with this viewpoint.

Notwithstanding taking the driver test every year can somehow assure the capability and knowledge of the driver, I completely disagree with the idea. One reason is that the situations in the driving test are completely different from the real situations, which do not have other cars while you are driving. Furthermore, the cost of taking the test annually is too high for both the driver and the test center, since not everyone has a bunch of spare time and there isn't enough space for all of the drivers to take the test.

Secondly, although drivers are equipped with a knowledge of safety driving regulations, many accidents originate from drunk driving and hypervelocity, which means drivers violate the rules on purpose. To avoid these tragedies happening, not only can the government raise the number of fines aiming at adding the cost of violation, but also promote the consciousness of safety driving through advertisements on television or the internet.

Last but not least, drivers would probably violate the regulations and lead to an accident inadvertently from time to time, which means even if we take the driving test annually, car accidents may happen someday. For not to exacerbate the situation, cars in the future may make some noise in order to remind drivers not violating the rules and help the drivers to be more cautious.

In conclusion, though some people advocated that drivers should take the driver test every year in order to make the road safer, due to the reasons mentioned above, I strongly question the efficiency and effectiveness of the annual test and disagree with the measurement.
